Plucking your eyebrows helps harmonize your features and highlight your eyes. Discover all our tips for successful hair removal like a pro.
Choose the right technique
To pluck your eyebrows at home, the ideal is to use good tweezers. Remember to disinfect it before and after use.
Tip: If you are not sure how to do it, go to an eyebrow salon or bar where a professional will show you how to do it.
Prepare your hair removal properly
Eyebrow waxing is done after getting out of the shower, when your pores are dilated by the heat. Remember to clean the area thoroughly before proceeding to avoid infections.
Define eyebrow shape
Well-plucked eyebrows should look natural: work following their natural curve. To do this, start by finding the arch of your eyebrows by placing a thin, long object (cotton swab, makeup brush, etc.) between the bridge of the nose and the inner corner of the eye. Remove excess hair. Then do the same by placing your mark between the outer corner of the eye and the bridge of the nose. Then use a pencil to trace the desired eyebrow shape (be careful not to make it too thin) and remove excess hair.
Tip: Grab the hairs as close as possible to the root and pull sharply in the direction of growth. Alternate between your left eyebrow and your right eyebrow to maintain symmetry.
Maintain your eyebrows
Once your hair removal is complete, brush your eyebrows in the direction of growth and fill in any sparse areas with an eyebrow pencil. You can also use eyebrow mascara to highlight them when you apply makeup.
